Bob Hart of Hart Construction reported today, Monday, that 6th Street will remain closed until Friday in order to finish the ramp structure on the north end of the new pedestrian bridge.
The original schedule called for the road to be re-opened by Oct. 10, but recent rains have delayed the projects. In addition, the crew spent an extra day replacing approximately six feet of sewer line damaged during excavation.
Concrete for the north ramp structure will be poured today, and by Friday the crew should begin work on the south side of the river.
